Marc Lépine
Marc Lépine (October 26, 1964 – December 6, 1989) was a 25-year-old man from Montreal, Canada who murdered fourteen women and wounded ten women and four men at the École Polytechnique, an engineering school affiliated with the Université de Montréal, in the "École Polytechnique massacre", also known as the "Montreal Massacre".

20 years ago on Dec 6th, a 25-year old mentally-ill man, Marc Lépine entered Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal, killed 14 women, injured four male students and ten other women before turning the rifle on himself. This post is a tribute to the 14 women killed on this day.

December 6, 2009, marks the 20th anniversary of the day when 25 year old Marc Lépine entered a Montreal university with a concealed Sturm Ruger Mini-14 semi-automatic rifle and opened fire on engineering students.....

Canada's long-gun registry was a product of tragedy, a response to the massacre of 14 young women at Montreal's École Polytechnique on Dec. 6, 1989. The Polytechnique killer, Marc Lépine, used a semi-automatic gun that allowed him to shoot 28 people in 22 minutes.
