Security certificate prisoners Mohammad Mahjoub, Mahmoud Jaballah and Hassan Almrei are presently on hunger strike (83 days, 72 days and 72 days respectively). Canada: National security detainee Mahmoud Jaballah returns to court

An Egyptian-born man accused by the Canadian government of being a threat to national security will be in court on Monday. Mahmoud Jaballah has been denied asylum and detained since 2001 on a national security certificate. Critics have argued that the certificates deny detainees their Charter rights to due process.
